What we collect
Almost nothing. EVSearch has no user accounts, no sign-up and no login. The calculators on this site run entirely in your browser — the numbers you enter (distances, tariffs, prices) are processed on your device and are never transmitted to us or stored on our servers. Closing the tab erases them.
If you email us, we receive your email address and message, which we use to reply and improve content. We do not add you to mailing lists and do not share contact details with anyone.
Cookies and advertising
EVSearch is free and ad-supported. We use Google AdSense, which may set cookies or use similar technologies to serve ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings; blocking cookies entirely may affect how some pages display but the calculators will keep working, since they do not depend on cookies.
Where required by law (including for users in the EEA, UK and under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act framework), we present a consent choice before advertising cookies are set, and honour the choice recorded.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand which pages are useful — page views, approximate region, device type. This data cannot identify you and is not combined with advertising identifiers by us.
Data retention
There is nothing to retain from normal site use: no accounts, no stored inputs, no profiles. Email correspondence is kept only as long as useful for the conversation and then deleted. Server logs maintained by our hosting provider contain standard technical information (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability, retained per the provider's policy.
Children
EVSearch is a general-audience information site and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Since we hold essentially none, the most relevant right is the advertising-cookie opt-out above. For anything else, email hello@evsearch.online and we will respond promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and its date. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
