The smart combo: solar + EV
Here is the maths most people miss. Charging an electric scooter at home costs about ₹25–30 a month. But if that power comes from your own rooftop solar panels, it costs almost nothing. A 3 kW solar system (subsidy: ₹78,000) makes around 360 units a month — enough for a full home plus an EV. Thousands of EV owners now charge their scooters with sunlight.
