What we write about, and how

These articles exist because the questions they answer kept arriving in our inbox. Why does the scooter never deliver its claimed range? What actually happens to a battery after five Indian summers? Is the resale story as bad as the petrol-pump gossip says? Each piece starts from a real ownership question, works through it with numbers you can check, and shows its assumptions openly — when we use a tariff, a fuel price or a degradation estimate, it is printed on the page so you can swap in your own.

Three rules keep us honest. No affiliate links inside analysis — if an article earns money, it earns it the same way every page here does, through ads placed by the network, never through a ranking that was bought. Indian numbers only — tariffs from your electricity board's slab, petrol at the pump price you actually pay, degradation from warranty terms written in Indian contracts. Dated and correctable — every article carries an updated date, and readers who spot a stale figure get the next revision named after their correction. If that sounds useful, start with the five-year ledger — it is the article the rest of the site was built to support.

Ownership

EV vs petrol over five years: the full ledger

Fuel is one line of the story. Insurance, service, tyres, battery health and resale complete it — here is the honest arithmetic of five years with each.

Range

Why your EV never shows the claimed range

Test cycles, pillion weight, AC, hills and cold mornings: how to convert a brochure number into an honest one before you buy.

Battery

Battery problem signs: when to worry

Sudden range drops, slow charging, heat — which signs are normal ageing and which mean a service visit.
